Philly D.A.
In 2017, Larry Krasner — a civil rights lawyer who'd spent his career suing the Philadelphia police department — won a long-shot campaign to become the city's District Attorney. Nobody on the inside expected to let him in. We were already there when he arrived.
Philly D.A. is a cinema-verité series following Krasner's tumultuous first term: the fights over cash bail, police brutality, and gun violence; the resistance from within his own office; the weight of trying to dismantle a system from the inside.
Produced by Nicole Salazar alongside directors Ted Passon and Yoni Brook, it's the kind of access-driven documentary storytelling that only happens when subjects trust you enough to forget the camera is running.
Named one of the best television series of the year by The New York Times, Time, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Vulture, IndieWire, and Vogue.
