A Venezuelan-American artist. He has directed projects for The GAP with Blood Orange, PRADA with Scarlet Johanson, and LomaVista Records with St. Vincent. His film Rubber Pencil Devil was exhibited at the Whitney Beinnial, The 57th Carnegie International, and MOCA Toronto. His artwork has been exhibited in major galleries around the world including: The 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Japan; Humlebæk, Denmark; the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; the Biennale di Venezia, Venice; the Kölnischer Kunstverein, Cologne; Secession, Vienna; Da Corte was the 2023 Philip Guston Rome Prize Fellow at the American Academy in Rome.

Scott J. Ross is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker specializing in comedy and fine art film. His comedic films have premiered at Sundance and Tribeca. He’s directed videos for Eric Wareheim (Tim & Eric), Syfy, The New York Times, and Netflix, often collaborating with Kendra Uncut under the name Public Cinema Club. At Super Deluxe, he created digital series including “Real or CG” and “Kitty Luxx” with Chloe Fineman. He developed digital series for The New York Times and The LA Times, directed ads for Meta, YouTube, Adidas, Old Navy, USPS, and Urban Outfitters, and created music videos for King Princess and Toro Y Moi.

Awards for his work include the Primetime Emmy Award for “Exceptional Merit in Documentary Filmmaking”, a Peabody Award, the Gotham Award for “Best Nonfiction Series”, a dupont-Columbia Award, the Sundance Producing Award for Nonfiction, the Humanitas Prize for “Best Feature Documentary”, the “Unforgettable” Award at the Cinema Eye Honors, a Webby Award for “Best Feature Length Documentary”, The Audience Award at both the Camden International Film Festival and Hot Docs and others. His work has been twice nominated for an Independent Spirit Award including “Best Documentary” and “Best Nonfiction Series”. PATRICE: THE MOVIE (HULU) was named “One of the best documentaries of the year” by Vogue and became one of the “Most Liked Documentaries” on Hulu. PHILLY D.A. (PBS) an 8-part series co-directed with Yoni Brook was hailed as “one of the best TV shows of the year” by TIME, The New York Times, Variety, The Los Angeles Times, The Hollywood Reporter , The Washington Post, Vulture, Vogue, Slate, Indiewire, and The New Yorker. Ted also directed episodes of the 8-part series, WORN STORIES (NETFLIX) which has 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was the 5th most watched show in the US on Netflix when it premiered.
